James Stopps to focus on strengthening pneumatic company’s distributor network 


As the newest addition to PCL’s expert team, industry professional James Stopps is gearing up to expand the company’s distributor base in the South.  

He joins PCL from consumables and fasteners supplier Würth UK Ltd, where he managed a team of 12 sales consultants and over 1800 accounts for the automotive division, growing the area by over 20%.  

James will facilitate end users to engage with PCL’s world-leading portfolio of tyre inflation and compressed air products, assisting our partners to increase brand awareness and supporting business growth for PCL’s distribution network.  

Drawing on his business acumen and expertise in prospecting new business, James is looking forward to strengthening connections with existing distributors whilst also extending PCL’s network. 

James said: “My strength lies in building effective customer relationships and utilising these to create sales and revenue. I will be supporting current partners to flourish as well as taking PCL to new distributors.” 

James will soon be out on the road, following an intense two weeks of training, which he has thoroughly enjoyed. He reported: “There’s a real family feel about PCL; they really look after their staff. They’re world-leaders with distributors across the globe, yet the company is run like a family business and remains loyal to manufacturing in Sheffield and the UK.” 

Having worked for a company that distributed PCL’s products, James was already familiar with the brand’s excellent reputation. He said: “The PCL brand is well known as a quality product that stands by its roots; so the customer can expect a consistently high standard. From me, they can expect honesty and integrity; if I say I’m going to do something, I will.”
