Leading hose manufacturer Metalflex can promise its customers the highest performance hoses with a perfect finish after going digital with PCL’s D10 wall-mounted inflator
The self-calibrating, fail-safe, user-friendly D10 unit is amongst PCL’s innovative ACCURA range of “menu-driven” driven products, which encloses digital technology in a modern, die cast aluminium housing.
As well as offering high, repeatable accuracy, it offers reduced maintenance and lifecycle costs, increased fuel economy and increased safety – which translates into increased productivity and satisfied customers.
Warrington-based Metalflex previously used a compressor and a tank of water for testing its stainless steel and PTFE flexible hoses assemblies.
However they wanted a product which could offer guaranteed accuracy, thus eliminating the need to test for leaks in water - which was causing rust and spoiling the first-class finish of the hoses.
Therefore the digital D10 was the ideal solution as it enables the final product to be tested dry.
The inflator is set to a preset figure and beeps when it reaches it. This means that Metalflex’s products can be certificated with a definite and accurate digital reading.
